Polk County Texas            

As a group, the four County Commissioners, each elected from a quarter of the county's population, and the County Judge are the chief policy-making and administrative branch of county government. Among their many functions, the Court adopts a tax rate and determines how the collected revenues will be distributed among different county departments to provide services to the community.  
 
The court meets in regular session on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom, located at the Polk County Regional Health Center.

While the renovations are ongoing at the Polk County Courthouse, Commissioners Court will be held at its temporary location at 410 E. Church Street.
