On June 30th, 2021, Celia Doyle

was sworn in as the new District Clerk for the 33rd & 424th Judicial Districts of Blanco County by County Judge Brett Bray.  Celia graduated from Texas State University in 2005.  She and her husband enjoy raising their 3 children here in the Texas Hill Country.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Blanco County District Clerk’s Office is to assure that all court records are maintained and preserved accurately and with the full confidence of the judicial authority of the 33rd and 424th District Judges. The Clerk’s Office is committed to assisting and working with all other Municipal, County, State and Federal agencies to provide the citizens of Blanco County with the most efficient and effective County Government.

The District Clerk’s Office, located in the Blanco County Courthouse in Johnson City, Texas, provides various services for the residents of Blanco County. Comprised of an elected District Clerk and dedicated staff, the Office is responsible for providing records of the Courts’ proceedings, implementing the Courts’ decisions and administratively supporting the respective Courts and Judges.


The Blanco County District Courtroom is located in the Blanco County Annex on 101 E. Cypress Street in Johnson City, Texas 78636

The Texas Government Code states the duties and powers of the clerk of the district court(s): “The clerk of the District Court has custody of and shall carefully maintain and arrange the records relating to or lawfully deposited in the Clerk’s Office.”  

The Clerk Shall:

Record the acts and proceedings of the court;
Enter all judgments of the court under the direction of the judge;
Record all executions issued and the returns on the executions; 
Keep an index of the parties to all suits filed in the court. 
Administers trust accounts for minors ordered by the courts and any money placed into the registry of the court;
Gathers data for various reports to State and Local agencies (County Treasurer, County Auditor, Voter Registrar, Bureau of Vital Statistics, Department of Public Safety, Attorney General, State Treasurer, State Board of Medical Examiners, State Library, Comptroller of Public Accounts and Office of Court Administration);
Be the official in charge of the jury selection for District Court, County Court and Justice Court.
