  • LBJ Elementary had coffee, juice, and breakfast for veterans. 

    The Texas Vintage Motorcycle Museum in Johnson City hosted veterans with breakfast tacos, coffee, and hot cocoa.

  • The Blanco County Veteran Service Officer can assist veterans & their surviving family members with whatever the veteran/family needs. When a veteran comes to me with a problem they are facing, my purpose as a VSO is to help them solve that problem.

    • Filing a claim for VA disability, pension, or education.

    • Filing an appeal of a VA decision.

    • Applying for burial and death benefits, including pre-need burial in a National Cemetary.

    • Completing state forms for Disabled Veteran license plates or Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption.

    • Obtaining VA documents needed for assistance.

    • Finding a ride for VA appointments.

    • VA health benefit applications.

    • Applications for VA funded home repairs.

    • Assistance contacting and applying for other veteran resources through local and national non-profit organizations.
