Please call 830-868-0973 AFTER 5 o'clock on the last day before the day that you are supposed to report to check for any messages regarding the status of the trial.  If there is no message regarding the trial you are to report as originally summoned.

of BLANCO COUNTY for

JURY SELECTION on MARCH 25TH, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.

JURY SELECTION IS TAKING PLACE AND YOU DO NEED TO APPEAR.

Jury selection will be taking place at

the BLANCO COUNTY DISTRICT COURTROOM,

AT 101 EAST CYPRESS, JOHNSON CITY, TX 78636.

PLEASE BRING YOUR COMPLETED QUESTIONNAIRE WITH YOU.

If you fail to appear at the date and time above, the Court may order the

Sheriff to bring you to court or assess a fine.

Please wear appropriate attire. No hats, tank tops or shorts.

We ask that you please be prompt.

FORMS FOR TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT EXEMPTION

If you are over 70 and would like to be permanently exempt from jury duty you may print this form, sign it and submit it to the District Clerk's Office.

FORM FOR OVER 70 PERMANENT EXEMPTION     

If you have a medical or mental impairment that is either temporary or permanent and would like to be exempt from jury duty you may print this form.  Fill it out and have your physician complete the 2nd page then submit it to the District Clerk's Office.  The Judge must review it and sign the form before you are exempt.

FORM FOR MEDICAL EXEMPTION

If you would like to be exempt from jury duty due to not comprehending the English language you may print this form, fill it out with the help of an interpreter, friend or relative and return it to the District Clerk's Office.  The Judge must review it and sign the form before you are exempt.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORTING TO JURY DUTY

If you have Jury Duty, please report to the Blanco County Courthouse Annex, 101 E. Cypress St., Johnson City, Texas 78636, unless otherwise directed by a Justice official. Appropriate attire is required. (No shorts, tank tops, halter tops, logo t-shirts, or flip flops)

Please call 830-868-0973 after 5 p.m. on the last business day before the day you are to report for updated messages concerning the status of the trial. If there is not a recorded message, you are to report as originally summoned. You may also click the Jury Status tab on the District Clerk’s page on the website for updated information. If the jury trial were to be cancelled, there would be a message to indicate the cancellation.

After receiving your jury summons card, please read all the information on the front and back. Complete the questionnaire page included and bring it and the card with you to the jury trial.

EXEMPTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

If you determine that you are Exempt or you do not meet the Qualifications to serve as a juror, please complete the form by circling the exemption or qualification that applies to you, date and sign your name at the bottom of the form and mail it back to the District Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 382, Johnson City, Texas 78636.
