Female Detention & Transportation Officer

The Blanco County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for a female Detention and Transportation Officer.  Starting pay is $15.34 hourly.  Benefits include but not limited to paid health, dental and vision.  Thirteen paid holidays a year.  80 hours of vacation after your first year of employment.  Sick time accrues at 4 hours per pay period.  This position requires licensing by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.  Experience is preferred but will provide all required training to acquire a temporary and then a Basic TCOLE Jailer License.  Hours will vary while in training.  You will learn all the phases of detention and transportation of inmates while in training.  After successful completion of FTO program and 6 months of probation, uniforms and necessary equipment will be provided.  Contact Lt. Telecommunication Officer

The Blanco County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for Telecommunication Officer.  This is a full-time position with full benefits.  Thirteen (13) paid holidays per year, 80 hours paid vacation per year after your first year of employment.  Other benefits include sick leave, health, dental, vision, AD&D and life insurance.  Retirement through Texas Counties and District Retirement Association in which Blanco County matches your contribution at 1 to 1 (7%). 

Certification pay starts at Intermediate level and continues to increase with higher certification ratings. Starting pay for this position is $15.90 hourly rate.  Experience in the law enforcement field is preferred but not mandatory.  Blanco County pays for your training and licensing. 

This position is the epicenter of the department providing emergency and non-emergency services to all of Blanco County.  Must be able to multi-task and have at least moderate computer skills to keep up with an ever-changing environment.
