The Fire Marshal's office will now accept all Fire Marshal permit fees. All fees paid to the Fire Marshal office are non-refundable. Call Carl Fowner, Fire Marshal, or Wendy Grant, Admin. Asst., at 830-393-8641 in advance to discuss permit fees.

Wilson County residents, who do not live within the corporate limits of any municipality, can now requested and pay for Fire Marshal permits online.
To get started, login or register to create an account at WCFMOpermits.com.
Select “Request an initial inspection”.
Choose “General Public”, then select “State Licensed Facility Fire & Life Safety” from drop down menu.
Complete the information requested and submit.
Once an application has been submitted, Wilson County Fire Marshal office will reach out for any additional docs, reviews, or inspections that need to take place to complete the permit. The office will also email an invoice link for payment, as needed, to access the online payment portal. A fee of 2.35% or a minimum of $2 will be added for online payments.
The Wilson County burn ban has expired. This applies to areas outside of the City of Floresville and City of La Vernia, in addition to Poth and Stockdale!
Burning is currently allowed without notification with the exception of certain items as listed: “electrical insulation, treated lumber, plastics, non-wood construction/demolition materials, heavy oils, asphaltic materials, potentially explosive materials, chemical wastes, and items containing natural or synthetic rubber” (30 Texas
Admin. Code §111.219(7))
Please contact your appropriate City Office for approval before burning within city limits.

 

Even though conditions have improved, fire risk can still change quickly, so please burn responsibly and with caution.
