Facility Maintenance Department
Mike Head, Director
About the Department:
The Potter County Facilities Maintenance Department is comprised of four separate divisions which include Management, Technicians, Grounds and Janitorial. Although this department is very small in size and does not consist of much manpower, each individual holds that special gift which consists of many valuable talents.
Currently the Technician Division is responsible for the operations of all assigned County owned property which is in access of 450,000 square feet. They are responsible for all maintenance operations, procedures and the safety and welfare of all building occupants.
The Grounds Division is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all properties which include lawn grooming, horticulture and seasonal grounds work.
The Janitorial Division is responsible for the housekeeping which consists of 336,000 square feet serviced nightly.
In addition to the modern buildings and properties maintained, all four divisions hold the special knowledge, skills and responsibilities to maintain three State Registered Historic properties which are very unique in their own way.
The ultimate goal of the Potter County Facility Maintenance Departments is to provide and serve all building occupants and the public the old fashion way “WITH A LOT OF PRIDE AND FOR A PURPOSE.”
