BIO:
Mrs. Leann Monk is a lifelong resident of Tyler County and is a 1992 graduate from Warren High School. She and her husband Rodney, have three beautiful daughters - Kacie (Account Executive), Allicyn (RN and Professional Photographer), and Mallory (Cosmetologist). They raised their family in Colmesneil, where all three girls graduated as Bulldogs from Colmesneil ISD. After 26 years in Colmesneil, the Monks moved back home to Warren in 2017.
Treasurer Monk has always been civic minded and has an undying love for Tyler County. She believes that she has much to give back to her community because Tyler County has always supported her and in a large part is responsible for the person she is today. She and Rodney have deliberately chosen to live, work, worship and raise their girls in Tyler County, which she considers the greatest place on earth. She serves in various leadership roles throughout Southeast Texas.
During her first term as Treasurer, she was selected by her peers as Outstanding Treasurer of the Year in Region 10; and in September of 2022, she was sworn in to serve on the County Treasurers Association of Texas Executive Board as the board Treasurer and has continued to climb the ladder of leadership within her association. She currently serves as the CTAT First Vice President and chairs the Leglislative and Public Relations Committees for her association . In January 2023, she entered her second term as as Tyler County Treasurer and could not be more proud to be able to continue to serve the citizens of this amazing county.
