Birth/Death Certificate Requirements
Birth/Death Certificates
The Tyler County Clerk's office participates in the Texas Electronic Registrar (TER) system for filing birth and death records.
Any Texas
birth
certificate may be immediately purchased in Tyler County. This office uses a remote access system to the state's records, dating from 1926 to the present.
All
deaths
recorded in Tyler County from 1903 to the present are available.
Qualified Applicants:
Only
the following qualified applicants may obtain a copy of a birth/death certificate:
1.
The registrant -
This is the person named in the record
2.
The next of kin -
The parent, step-parent, child, brother, sister, spouse, grandparent, step-grandparent, legal guardian, or
managing conservator of the registrant.
3.
The legal representative -
The agent or other person acting under contract for the registrant
4. The applicant
must
provide proper identification to obtain a birth/death certificate.
To Purchase a Birth/Death Certificate Online or by Mail:

application

with credit card by calling our office at (409) 283-2281
a. Birth Certificate is $23.00 each, plus $9.00 certified mail return.
b. Death Certificate is $21.00 for the first and $4.00 for each additional, plus $9.00 certified mail return.
c. Retain your payment id#. Your request
will not
be processed without it.
