JUDGE ANITA M. DELEON

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, PCT 3 CALDWELL COUNTY, TEXAS

To: All Attorneys and Litigants

With an effort to reopen the courts you will notice certain safety measures that have been implemented in and around the courthouse. These measures are to protect those individuals that must come to the courthouse to conduct business and the individuals that work at the courthouse. The safety measures are consistent with local public health guidelines which include social distancing measures and cleaning procedures to name a couple.

To provide the needed attention to the court's dockets, scheduling of cases may be set at differing times throughout the day to reduce the volume of people in the court rooms and the courthouse. If you are scheduled to be in court at a specific time please be on time and ready. Since dockets may be only an hour apart from each other (i.e. one docket starting at 9, the next docket at 10 and so on) it is imperative to be on time and ready to avoid large numbers of people in and around the courtrooms. Only persons/attorneys/agents summoned for court will be admitted.

IF YOU OR YOUR CLIENT FEEL THAT YOU ARE A VULNERABLE PERSON SUSCEPTIBLE TO CONTRACTING THE CORONAVIRUS, PLEASE CALL THE COURT. INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE OVER AGE 65 AND INDIVIDUALS WITH SERIOUS UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS , SUCH AS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, CHRONIC LUNG DISEASE, DIABETES, OBESITY, ASTHMA, AND THOSE WHOSE IMMUNE SYSTEMS ARE COMPROMISED SUCH AS BY CHEMOTHERAPY FOR CANCER OR OTHER CONDITIONS REQUIRING SUCH THERAPY ARE CONSIDERED TO BE VULNERABLE POPULATIONS. ACCOMMODATIONS TO THOSE THAT ARE VULNERABLE WILL BE MADE ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS, BUT PLEASE CONTACT THE COURT.

Additionally it is encouraged that all individuals coming to the courthouse WEAR PROTECTIVE FACE

COVERING for not only your health but also for those that work at the courthouse.

If you have any questions, please call 1-512-357-6729.

Thank you,

Anita M. DeLeon
