    Fee Chart

    The Hardin County Clerk's office accepts cash, check, money order, cashier's check or debit/credit cards (fees apply) associated with Assumed Names, Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage License, Marks & Brands, and Recording Fees.  Additional fees incur with the use of credit/debit cards.  

    Debit/Credit cards accepted are Discover, Visa and Matercard

     

  • Birth:

    The Hardin County Clerk's office issues Birth Certificates for in-county and out of county births in Texas.   Birth Certificates are $23 and can be issued to the registrant or his/her immediate family members.  BIRTH APPLICATION

     

    Death:

    The Hardin County Clerk's office issues Death Certificates for in-county deaths only.  Immediate family members of the decedent are eligible to purchase a death certificate.  The cost is $21 for the first copy and $4 for each additional copy if purchased on the same day.  DEATH APPLICATION

     

    Marriage License:

    The Hardin County Clerk's office issues Marriage Licenses.  Both applicants should appear in person with a valid photo ID.  The application must be filled out in office.  The fee is $81.00.  If the couple has taken the premarital course, Twogether in Texas, the fee is only $21.  Please note that marriage licenses are issued 8:00 am until 4:30 pm daily.  If you arrive after 4:30 pm, you will have to wait until the following day.

     

    DD214:

    Thank you for your service.  The Hardin County Clerk's office issues certified copies of Military Discharge Records to service members or their immediate family members.  DD214 APPLICATION

     

    Assumed Name/DBA:

    The Hardin County Clerk's office issues Assumed Name Certificates (DBA).  The filing fee is $18.  ASSUMED NAME APPLICATION

     

    Marks and Brands:

    The Hardin County Clerk's office is the record keeper for all Marks and Brands.  Please click HERE to find more information regarding the filing procedure.

  • Hardin County Clerk's Office is the record keeper for the probate and guardianship filings in Hardin County.  Please see our FILING PROCEDURES for attorneys.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us at 409-246-5185.  We value our relationship with the probate attorneys and their clients and our hope is to make this difficult time as seamless as possible.

  • The Hardin County Clerk's Office is the record keeper for the misdemeanor cases filed in our county.  Feel free to contact our office at 409-246-5185 to check on your court date or to pay your fines/court costs over the phone via credit card.  Please note using a card will incur additional fees.  
  • The Hardin County Clerk's Office holds the records for the civil cases in our county.  These could include debt collection cases, eviction appeals, bond forfeitures and occupational drivers license.  

    The filing fee for Civil Cases is $350.00.  

     

    For evictions please contact your local JUSTICE OF THE PEACE.
