The Texas Parks & Wildlife System is down at this time.  We are unable to process any boat or motor transactions at this time.  No ETA when it will be back up. 

We will be closed Monday, March 2nd in observance of Texas Independence Day! 

We will be closed on Wednesday, March 18 for training. 

We no longer accept cash for boat transactions.

Services provided by this office are:
  • Registering motor vehicles for Fayette County only and transferring motor vehicle titles (buyer, seller or lienholder must be located in this county). (Fayette County address must be shown on your driver license) 
  • Registering Boats and transferring Boat and Motor titles.  We do not accept cash for boats.
  • Issuing handicap placards; A doctor’s prescription and Driver’s license or ID is required.
  • Collect County portion of Beer and Liquor License fees.


TITLE TRANSACTIONS

For title transfers, we ask that you PLEASE have ALL paperwork completed before entering the office.  This will allow the employees to process your transaction in a timely manner. We process title transactions from 8am to 4pm only. Call the office if you have questions. 979-968-3164, option 2.

Cash, Check, Debit/Credit Card; convenience fee applied for card use.

Handicap Curbside Service provided in front of the office marked with a handicap sign on a pole; Call the listed number on the sign, 979-968-3164, option 2 and a staff member will come greet you and process your transaction.

This office does not handle transactions regarding Driver’s License.   Please visit www.dps.texas.gov

Your vehicle registration may be renewed at the above locations if the following criteria are met:

  • You have the green and white renewal notice sent to you by mail
  • You have current proof of insurance and you are the owner;  id required 
  • You are renewing registration no more than 3 months prior or 30 days after the due date
  • Your vehicle or trailer is NOT farm classified
  • The total gross weight of your vehicle is less than 55,000 lbs.
  • New License Plates are NOT needed
