Judge Warfield, formerly of Oklahoma, is a two and a half  year resident of the Eagle Lake area and Colorado County who chose to retire near family.  He is a retired United Methodist minister with various experiences in chaplaincy with fire and law enforcement agencies.  The father of three grown children, he is married to Frances Sunderman Warfield.

Warfield is a director of the Chamber of Commerce, member of the Eagle Lake Lions Club and Study Club.  He is the public address announcer for the Rice Consolidated Independent School District high school football games and a volunteer at the Eagle Lake Food Pantry. Warfield has also served on a school board, coached Little League, and taught humanities at a community college while serving as a pastor at local churches.  

Judge Warfield is aware of the many responsibilities of a Justice of the Peace. As Justice of the Peace for Precinct Four, Judge Warfield is committed to being a committed 24/7 “Hands On” JP to give all citizens the very best service with fairness, integrity, and compassion within the boundaries of the laws of the State of Texas.

The court is located at 121 N. McCarty, Eagle Lake, Texas 77434. The office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Juveniles 16 years and under must present their pleas before the judge and MUST have a parent or legal guardian present. Please contact the Court for scheduling.

 

Fees charged by the Sheriff and Constables of Colorado County

Effective January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024

  • The Court does not accept personal checks or cash for payment of fines. Payment MUST be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order made payable to Justice of the Peace, Precinct Four – Colorado County.  Payment may be mailed to P.O. Box 396, Eagle Lake, Texas 77434.

    Payment may be made by credit card (Master Card, Visa and Discover) by visiting 
    www.govrec.com/home/coloradocotx.

    If payment is made by credit card, paperwork MUST be mailed in.
