    Welcome to Rusk County Airport (RFI). Located 3 miles west of Downtown Henderson on FM 13, Rusk County Airport features one of the lowest fuel prices in the country, a modernized terminal building with a pilot's lounge, flight planning room, internet access, weather station, and a courtesy vehicle, an amenity not found at similar airports.

    It is our goal to create a site that is user friendly for pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and the public at large. We boast the lowest 100LL fuel price in the four state region and have updated our facilities over the last five years with covered parking, a new terminal building complete with internet and weather capability, new hangars, and a new AWOS (Automated Weather Observation System). We also offer free tie-down parking, not to mention a courtesy vehicle to shop, dine, and enjoy the historical, beautiful atmosphere of Rusk County and the city of Henderson.

    Located in central East Texas, Rusk County, with Henderson as its County seat, is rich in its heritage and progressive in its hopes for the future. Established in 1843 Rusk County was named in honor of Thomas J. Rusk, soldier, statesman and Texas patriot. Older than the state of Texas, Rusk County has a historical heritage abounding in folklore and adventure. Pirates, frontiersman, soldiers, cotton planters, Indians, dreamers and schemers played a role in the saga that is all part of Rusk County history.

    Blessed with quiet neighborhoods, attractive homes, beautiful churches, good schools and excellent shopping, Rusk County provides “good living” for the young, growing family-as well as the retiring family.

    • Pilots must notify the Airport Manager two days in advance to reserve use of the car.
    • Pilots requesting the use of the courtesy car must provide a copy of their driver's license and proof of insurance to the Airport Manager two days prior to the date of expected use.
    • Upon receipt of proper documentation, contact will be made with the pilot to explain method of obtaining key, location of car and gate code.
    • Pilots will be expected to return the car clean and full of fuel.
    • The Airport Manager or his designee must be contacted by phone when the courtesy car is returned.
