D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a cooperative effort between the Liberty County District Attorney's Office and area school districts. It is a 17-week classroom curriculum teaching fifth and seventh grade levels. The program teaches students how and why they should refuse alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs as well as violence. The D.A.R.E. program is a working partnership between parents, schools, and police.
