Responsibilities                             

• Ensure that residents and visitors of Harrison County are protected from conditions which are detrimental to health and safety
• Enforce consumer health-related statutes and ordinances
• Respond to health-related complaints
• Inspect retail food establishments, restaurants, and any establishment where food is offered and/or served to the public
• Inspect commercial kitchens/food service areas that include--but are not limited to --schools, hospitals, hotels/motels, day care facilities, nursing care facilities, convenience stores, grocery stores, food trucks, and foster homes
