Purpose: The purpose of the Lampasas County Historical Commission (LCHC) is to preserve, protect and promote history within the county and to support, when possible, the programs of the Texas Historical Commission.
Membership: Any adult resident of Lampasas County is eligible. A favorable vote by two-thirds of members present and approval of the Commissioners Court is required.
Meetings: Regular meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month, excluding July and December, at 3:30 PM in the Commissioners' Courtroom at the courthouse.
Current Projects: The LCHC offers tours of the county courthouse by appointment. Special awards and historical markers are promoted.
