CASS COUNTY TEXAS VETERANS SERVICE OFFICE
The Cass County Veterans Service Office is supported by two grants from the Texas Veterans Commission Grants for Veterans Services that provide assistance to veterans and their families in Cass County.
Through the first grant, the county offers financial assistance to eligible veterans and surviving spouses who reside in Cass County. To qualify, veterans must have received an Honorable or General discharge and have a total household income of less than $64,500 per year. Assistance may be provided for mortgage payments, rent, and approved utility expenses.
The second grant, Housing for Texas Heroes, provides accessibility modifications and critical safety repairs for eligible veterans and surviving spouses who meet specific program requirements. These improvements help ensure that veterans can safely remain in their homes.
Veterans or surviving spouses interested in learning more about these programs are encouraged to contact the Assistant Veterans Service Officer to schedule an appointment and determine eligibility.
