  • How to submit a compliment
    If you wish to COMPLIMENT an employee, please ask to speak with a supervisor and/or complete the Employee Compliment form.

    How to make a complaint
    If you wish to file a COMPLAINT, we encourage you to request to speak with a supervisor to resolve your complaint. Whether or not you speak with a supervisor, you may obtain a written Complaint Form from the Sheriff's Office dispatch Center or online; submit the completed form to the Sheriff's Office.

    Please note that the signature on the written complaint must be signed by the complainant and witnessed by a Notary Public.

    If you need assistance obtaining either form, please stop by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office dispatch office.

  • Abandoned or Unclaimed Property

    The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office Evidence and Property Room, in accordance with Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 18.17 as it relates to the Disposition of Abandoned or Unclaimed Property, is hereby giving notice to the public of the listed items.

    If the owner does not claim this property before the 90th day after the date of this notice, the property will be disposed of in a manner as described in Article 18.17.

    Proof of Ownership Required

    For found property, bicycles, and stolen recovered property, claimant may provide proof of ownership in any of the following ways:

    • Verify the serial number of the item.
    • Present a dated receipt of purchase of the item.
    • Present a prior stolen/lost property report with a police agency for the item.
    • Show a photograph with him/herself and the item in it.
    • Describe unique characteristics of the item.
    • Provide an access code or combination to unlock the item.

    Claimant must also present a valid driver’s license or state issued photo ID card.
