  • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PLACEMENT OF YIELD SIGNS ON COUNTY ROAD 5223 AND COUNTY ROAD 512

    Pursuant to Texas Transportation Code §251.152, notice is hereby given that the Commissioners Court of Medina County will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment and voting regarding PLACEMENT OF YIELD SIGNS at the intersection of County Road 5223 and County Road 512 in Precinct 3.  The Public Hearing will be conducted during the regular meeting of the Medina County Commissioners Court on Monday August 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Medina County Courthouse Annex, 1300 Avenue M, Room 165, Hondo TX.  The hearing concerns adopting traffic regulations under Texas Transportation Code Section 251.155 (c); Restricted Traffic Zones.

    MEDINA COUNTY BUDGET

    Medina County Commissioners’ Court will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024–2025 on Monday August 26, 2024, 9:00 a.m. at the Medina County Courthouse Annex, 1300 Avenue M, Commissioners’ Courtroom, Room 165, Hondo, Texas.

    This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $3,742,814.00, which is a 16.22 percent increase from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $$2,536,808.00.

    Elected Officials Salaries & Allowances

    In accordance with Section 152.013, Texas Local Government Code, Notice is hereby given of any salaries, expenses or allowances that are proposed to be increased for elected county or precinct officers of Medina County for fiscal year 2024-2025 and the amounts of the proposed increases.  Commissioners Court will set the proposed salaries on August 26, 2024, at 9:00 AM, in the Courthouse Annex, 1300 Avenue M, Room 165, Hondo TX.
