  • Karnes County Grant Administrator

    Department: Grants Administration

    Reports to: Karnes County Judge

    Salary: $50,000 annually / $24.04 hourly

    Karnes County is hiring for a Grant Administrator position that will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, preparing grant applications, securing grants of all types, and assisting in the management of approved grants.

    Education & Experience:

    • GED or HS Diploma is required
    • Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration preferred
    • Preferred experience in financial management, budgeting, and preparing/monitoring federal and state grants.

    • Equipment Operator II

      The Karnes County Road & Bridge Department is hiring for a full-time Equipment Operator II position that will be responsible for the operation of all equipment used for constructing, maintaining, or otherwise modifying roadway infrastructure in the county, including but not limited to, modifications to roadways, drainage structures.

  • Deputy Clerk

    Job Type: Full-Time / Non-exempt

    Pay: $19.23/hour

    Reports To: Tax Collector/Assessor & Chief Deputy Clerk

    The Karnes County Tax Office is seeking a Deputy Clerk. This position requires that after a designated training period, the successful candidate will have the necessary knowledge of current and delinquent tax assessment and collection procedures, as well as automotive registration and transfer procedures required by TxDMV.

    Library/Summer Aide job may include but is not limited to assisting with all aspects of the summer reading program, performing circulation desk procedures, assisting patrons with use of public computers, shelving library materials, assisting with crafts/activities, and light cleaning.
