There are currently no New World Screwworm cases in Brown County. Brown County continues to collaborate with the cities in Brown County to plan proactively for a case should one occur in the county.
To report NWS and collect suspect samples in domestic animals, contact your veterinarian, an AgriLife Extension agent, or the Texas Animal Health Commission at (800) 550-8242. Wildlife reporting should be with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department biologist.
